OFFICIAL: Man United Winger Antony Joins Real Betis On-Loan Until Season End.

 Real Betis have completed the loan signing of Antony from Man United until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.

Manchester United winger Antony has joined La Liga side Real Betis on loan until the end of the season with no option to buy.

Antony who signed for United from Ajax in August 2022 for £81.3m is the second most expensive player in the club's history behind Paul Pogba, and currently has a contract at Old Trafford until 2027.

United sources say the loan deal would cover a minimum of 84% of Antony's salary, which is over £100,000 per week.

 The 24-year-old Brazilian has failed to reach expectations since joining the Red Devils. He has scored 12 goals in 96 appearances for United but has only scored once in the Premier League since April 2023.

He started brightly under former United manager Erik ten Hag who was also his previous boss at Ajax by scoring three goals in his opening three league games.

So far this season, Antony has struggled for first-team opportunities, especially now under new boss Ruben Amorim. He has featured in just 13 of United's 33 games in all competitions.

"Everybody at United would like to wish Antony the best of luck for his spell in Seville," said the Old Trafford club.

United have also made sure to slot a clause into the agreement that will grant Antony regular first-team football.

The Red Devils have written in a ‘penalty’ clause into the move that will see Betis fork out a fee should they not play Antony enough.

Antony had travelled to Spain earlier this week to undergo a medical and put the final touches on his move.

Manuel Pellegrini's Real Betis team are currently ninth in the table and still involved in the UEFA Conference League.
