A Debut Goal And A Trophy For Mbappe, As Real Madrid WINS A Record-Breaking Sixth UEFA Super Cup.

Real Madrid have won the UEFA Super Cup for a record sixth time by beating Atalanta in Warsaw on Wednesday night.

Carlo Ancelotti became the first coach to win six editions of the competition.


The annual match between the Champions League winners (Madrid) and the Europa League champions (Atalanta) which went down at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland, saw Federico Valverde tap home a cross from Vinicius Jr in the 59th to give Madrid the lead.

 

Mbappe who pulled on the famous white jersey of the Spanish champions for the first time in a competitive match and marked the occasion with the second goal in a 2-0 win over Atalanta.

The French captain started and played 82 minutes, as he met a pass from Jude Bellingham across the area with a shot into the top corner in the 68th minute.

He celebrated the goal by putting both arms across his chest for his trademark celebration, he was congratulated by Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, the other members of Madrid's star-studded strike force that might be sending tremors around European football heading into the new season.
