"I don't follow records, the records follow me"... Cristiano Ronaldo Celebrates Another Historic Landmark For Al Nassr.

Cristiano Ronaldo can't stop breaking records as he continues to age like fine wine following a spectacular performance for Al Nassr on Monday night.

Ronaldo netted a stunning brace to inspire his side to an explosive 4-2 victory over fierce rivals Al Ittihad on the final matchday.

Despite having two goals ruled out for offside in the first half, that didn't stop Ronaldo from scoring twice later on to achieve the feat before he was substituted off the field to a standing ovation from the home fans.

The 39-year-old Portuguese latest masterclass saw him etch his name further into the history books, as he broke the Saudi League record for most goals in a single season, taking his tally to an astonishing 35 goals, 11 assists in just 31 appearances. 

The previous record was held by former Al Nasse forward Abderrazak Hamdallah which was 34 goals and 12 assists in 2018/2019, though the Morocco striker's haul, came from four fewer matches.

Ronaldo has so far scored 64 goals in 69 games for Al-Nassr in all competitions since joining on a free transfer in January 2023 after his controversial exit from Manchester United.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner, also achieved another remarkable feat, becoming the first player ever to be the top scorer in four different countries (the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A and the Saudi Pro League).

Winning the Premier League golden boot with Man United in 2008, the Portuguese star was LaLiga's top goalscorer on three occasions before becoming Serie A's top scorer in 2020/21.

He has now scored 765 goals in his 22-year career for Sporting Lisbon, Man United, Real Madrid, Juventus and Al-Nassr respectively.

Ronaldo also holds the record for international goals with 128 from 206 appearances for his country Portugal.

He would be hoping to guide Portugal to glory at Euro 2024 which gets underway next month.

Meanwhile the 4-2 win for Al-Nassr means that they finished second in the table for the second successive season, 14 points behind champions Al-Hilal but 17 clear of third-placed Al-Ahli.

While Al Hilal wins the Saudi Pro League (SPL) title with three games to go, On their way to the title, they went on a 34-game winning streak in all competitions, a new world record for a top-tier team

Ronaldo and his teammates will have one last shot for a silverware when they face Al Hilal in the Saudi King's Cup of Champions Final which will take place on Friday, 31st May in Jeddah.

Ronaldo has just one year remaining on his contract with Al-Nassr, with the Saudi side desperate to keep him in the league longer term.
