Vinicius Jr Scores HATTRICK in Real Madrid 4-1 El Clasico Spanish Super Cup Final Demolition Over Barcelona. {WATCH HIGHLIGHTS}

Real Madrid defeats bitter fierce rivals Barcelona 4-1 to lift their 13th Spanish Super Cup on Sunday night.

The game which took place at the Al Nassr's King Saud University Stadium, Riyadh in Saudi Arabia where Cristiano Ronaldo currently plays, saw Vinicius Jr scoring a sensational hattrick.

Vinicius came into the game with just three goals in 15 previous Clasicos and an idea that Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo had often had the better of their personal duels. He has also had a frustrating season with injuries and has not scored for Madrid since November.

The Brazilian forward, changed the story, as he scored twice early on as Real made a fast start.

With just seven minutes into the encounter, Vinicius excellent first touch from Jude Bellingham’s pass put him into space and he showed composure and class to round goalkeeper Inaki Pena and finish into the net, celebrating the opener with Cristiano Ronaldo's famous 'SIU' goal celebration.

His second goal was not such a difficult finish, with Dani Carvajal and Rodrygo having done most of the work, but Vinicius Jr still had to be there and get the ball over the line in the 10th minute, doubling the lead for Los Blancos.

Barcelona hit back through Robert Lewandowski's fine finish, as he reduced the deficit in the 33rd minute with a strike on the rebound.

But Vinicius sealed his hat-trick before half-time to restore the two-goal lead in the 39th minute after his movement and intelligence forced Araujo to pull him back in the penalty area, he converted the spot-kick with supreme confidence.

It was the fastest hat-trick scored by any Madrid player in a Clasico since 1951, and only the fifth hat-trick scored in the fixture this century. 

Vinicius also becomes the first Brazilian player to score a hat-trick against Barcelona for Real Madrid. He is also the first player to score a Clasico hat-trick in the Supercopa de Espana.

Rodrygo then strucked Real's fourth goal from a rebound in the 64th minute, guiding home a fine low shot from 13 yards.

The goal was a hammer blow for Barcelona who were dominated in the second half of this El Clasico final.

Last year's Supercopa de Espana champions could not handle Vinicius and ended the contest with 10 men after Araujo was sent off for a second booking in the 71st minute following two fouls on the Brazilian.

Victory gives Madrid a 13th Super Cup success, one behind Barcelona's record 14 wins.

Barca have now lost both of their matches against Real Madrid so far this season, and are only have one more El Clasico opportunity to redeem themselves before the summer which comes on April 21 in a La Liga match at the Bernabeu.

Speaking after the game Barcelona boss Xabi said; "We have not shown the level required for a match like this.

"We played our worst game. We weren't comfortable at any point. Madrid hurt us on the counter. I apologise to the fans because it was hard for us to compete and we showed our worst side."
