Inter Milan Complete Signing Of Marcus Thuram From Gladbach On A Free Transfer.
Inter Milan have on Saturday confirmed the signing Marcus Thuram on a free transfer after his contract with Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach expired. ✍️🔵
Despite interest from Premier League clubs, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Man United, following his World Cup performances, the 25-year-old forward who is the son of French World Cup winner Lilian Thuram, signed a five-year contract with the Serie A club which will keep him at the San Siro until 2028.
The move will see Thuram make his Serie A debut, the league in which his father Lilian Thuram spent a decade in, plying his trade for Parma and Juventus between 1996 and 2006.
Having entered the final year of his deal at the Borussia Park, with the club making several offers in a bid to keep Thuram, but the player refused, instead opting to face a new challenge .
He registered 44 goals, 29 assists in 134 appearances for Gladbach.
"Marcus Thuram is quick. He has always been quick to reach his goals and to overcome any hurdle in his path. To show that he is worth so much more than just the name on the back of his shirt," Inter said in a statement.

Thuram has been capped 10 times for France, having made his debut in the senior team in 2020 and was part of their Euro squad that year.
He also played for Didier Deschamps' side that reached the final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where Les Blues finished as runners-up as they lost via penalties to Argentina.
In other news, Inter, who lost to Manchester City in the Champions League final last month, have already announced the departures of Milan Skriniar, Danilo D'Ambrosio and Roberto Gagliardini from the club upon the expiry of their contracts.
