Kylian Mbappé Warns PSG "Sell me NOW, or I Will Leave For FREE Next Year" As He Refuses A Contract Extension Renewal.

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe, has warned the club he will not sign a contract extension.

Mbappe has a deal with the Ligue 1 champions until 2024, but it contains the option to be triggered for one more year.

There was a deadline of 31 July for Mbappe, to tell PSG if he was going to renew until 2025.

After months of talks, the 24-year-old, has sent the club a letter saying he will not, as he not interested in staying at the club until 2025.

His decision of NOT triggering the option to extend current contract until 2025, means that deal would expire next June 2024, and he can sign a Pre-contract agreement with any club outside of France as from January.

L'Equipe is now reporting that PSG have no plans to lose Mbappe for free, which could force them trying to offload the player urgently this summer for a huge fee.

Mbappe joined PSG in 2017 initially on loan from Monaco before a €180m move, has scored 212 goals in 260 games.

He has 38 goals in 68 games for France, including a hat-trick in last year's World Cup final in Qatar, as France narrowly lost to champions Argentina on penalties.

Mbappe finished as Ligue 1's top scorer in each of the last five seasons and has won five league titles in his six seasons at PSG.

PSG ended 2022-23 with just the Ligue 1 title after once again failing to win the Champions League, losing to Bayern Munich in the round-of-16.

Real Madrid have retained a long-term interest in the 2018 World Cup winner. Though he had rejected a move to the Bernabeu to stay at PSG last year.

The 14-time European Champions only said goodbye to veteran forward Karim Benzema a week ago, with the striker calling time on his successful Madrid career after 14 years in favour of a move to Saudi Arabia's Al Ittihad. 

Los Blancos are in the market for a forward, having already contacted Chelsea about the availability of Kai Havertz, and also Tottenham's Harry Kane.

Other top clubs like Manchester United, Barcelona, and Chelsea all  monitoring the situation at the Parc des Princes.

Mbappe could become the second high-profile departure from PSG this summer, after Lionel Messi left as a free agent last week, shunning a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal, and a return to boyhood club Barcelona.

Messi, who joined the Parisians two years ago, is now set to sign for Inter Miami in the Major League Soccer (MLS).

Neymar, who is the third player of PSG's superstar frontline last season, has also been linked with a big-money move to Saudi Arabia.
