Man City Boss Pep Guardiola Speaks On The Premier League Title Race With Arsenal.

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has admitted that his side’s next Premier League game against Arsenal will be ‘a final’.

Saturday's comfortable 3-1 victory at home over Leicester City leaves the defending champions trailing the league leaders by just four points with a game in hand, after Arsenal disappointedly drew at West Ham 2-2 on Sunday afternoon.

This leaves City at a very important stage that could make or mar their 2022/23 season so far.

They now face a pivotal three games as they aim to complete a Treble of trophies.

Having already cruised to a 3-0 win over Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie at the Etihad stadium last week, Guardiola will take his men to Allianz Arena in Germany for the second leg on Wednesday night.

After which they will immediately turn their attention to the FA Cup semi-final game against Championship side Sheffield United at Wembley stadium on Saturday April 22, before welcoming table toppers Arsenal to the Etihad stadium on Wednesday April 26 on what seems to be a title deciding clash.

With City not playing a league game this weekend Arsenal could extend the leas at the top to seven points with a win at home to bottom club Southampton, leaving City with two outstanding games.

Both Man City and Arsenal have already faced eachother twice already this season, first the the FA Cup fourth round in late January at the Etihad which City won 1-0 to knock-out Mikel Arteta's men from the competition, and second in the league at the Emirates in February where Guardiola's side emerged 3-1 winners.

"Like I said in the previous press conference, it is to win win win," said Guardiola.

"Arsenal have had an incredible run so far this season, I don't think they will drop many points and we have to be in there.

"It is important for us to arrive at the match by winning today and it is a final against them in the next Premier League game. If we we lose the game, it will be almost over.

"But first we have the Champions League and the semi-final of the FA Cup," the Spaniard added.
