Victor Osimhen can't stop scoring, as he continues to shine for Napoli.

The Super Eagles star came into the match away at Torino having just won the award for scoring the Goal of the Week against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League round-of-16 second leg tie in midweek. The forward nodded home superbly from Matteo Politano’s cross deep into stoppage time of that game.

He edged Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and Manchester City’s Kelvin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundoan to the prize.

It’s the first time the Nigeria international will be winning the award.

Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was later brought down in the box, causing the referee to point to the spot. The 21-year-old picked himself up and fired home the resulting spot kick in the 35th minute to double the lead for the visitors, and take his tally for the season to 12 goals.

Six minutes into the second half, Osimhen scored his second of the game after more impressive interplay. Kvaratskhelia played a backheel into the path of Uruguayan left-back Mathias Olivera, who crossed to the far post for the striker to head home from a tight angle for his 21st goal of the season in 23 games, breaking Simy Nwankwo’s record of most goals by a Nigerian player in a single Serie A season.

Osimhen also equaled Samuel Eto’o as the African player with most goals in a single Serie A season (21).

He is on track to become the first African to win the Serie A Golden Boot, and also being just one goal away from equalling George Weah's record for the Highest African Goalscorer in Serie A (46 goals).

Napoli were not done scoring and added a fourth to their tally in the 68th minute through substitute midfielder Tanguy Ndombele to cruise to a 4-0 win.

The Partenopei now have 71 points, a record in the history of the club after 27 games, and they head into the international break with 19 points clear on top of the league ahead of second placed Lazio who has 52 points.
