Teams Learn Fate After The Conclusion Of The UCL, UEL, And UECL Quarter-finals, And Semi-final Draw By UEFA.

The 2022/2023  ChampionsLeague, Europa League, and Conference League draws for the quarter-finals and semi-finals have been done at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday afternoon.

The draws were was streamed live on UEFA’s official website, with no restriction on who could face who. 

Champions League:

For the Champions League, the two Premier League teams left in the competition Chelsea and Manchester City have been handed fiercely tough routes towards the Champions League final in Istanbul.

While Graham Potter's Chelsea's team face holders Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals, Pep Gardiola City's sidd faces his former club and six-time winners Bayern Munich.

Inter Milan face Benfica and Serie A champions AC Milan take on current leaders Napoli.

If Chelsea and Manchester City get through, they will meet in an all-Premier League semi-final while AC Milan or Napoli will face Inter Milan or Benfica in the other semi-final.

The first legs of the quarter-finals take place on 11-12 April, with the return games on 18-19 April.

The first legs of the semi-finals will be on 9-10 May, and the second legs on 16-17 May.

The Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey, will host the final on 10 June.

Europa League:

Meanwhile the draw for the quarter-finals of this season’s UEFA Europa League (UEL) has been conducted.

After seeing off two Spanish teams Barcelona and Real Betis already in this competition, Premier League giants Man United will once again clash with LaLiga side and Europa League specialist Sevilla in the last-8 next month.

Sevilla has won six editions of the tournament since 2006, with the most recent triumph from the Andalucian side came in 2020, which saw Sevilla beat United at the semi-final stage.

Should United beat Sevilla in the next round, they will face the winner of Juventus' tie with Sporting Lisbon, the team who knocked out Arsenal from the tournament in round-of-16 stage on Thursday.

Elsewhere in the draw, Jose Mourinho's Roma will take on Feyenoord in a repeat of last year's Europa Conference League final, while Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen will take on Union Saint-Gilloise, the sister club of Premier League side Brighton.

The quarter-final fixtures will take place on the 13th and 20th of April.

The semi-final fixtures will take place on May 11 for the first legs, and second legs on May 18.

The final takes place at Budapest’s Puskás Aréna in Hungary on Wednesday, 31 May.

UEFA Europa Conference League:

Earlier this week, the last 16 came to an end with AEK Larnaca, Sivasspor, Lazio, Djurgårdens, Slovan Bratislava, Sheriff Tiraspol, Villarreal and İstanbul Başakşehir knocked out of the competition. 

The eight teams remaining are West Ham United, Fiorentina, AZ Alkmaar, Lech Poznan, Basel, OGC Nice, Anderlecht and Gent with Belgium being the only country with two remaining teams at this stage of the competition.

The quarter-final full draw is as follows:

The first legs of these ties will be played on the April 13th before the second legs a week later on the 20th of April.

The semi-final will be played on 11 and 18 May.

Roma last year won the tournament and the celebrations of Jose Mourinho’s team went some way to establishing the Conference League as something to win.

Thee final will be held on Wednesday, 7th June, 2023 at the Fortuna Arena in Prague, Czech Republic.
