Nigeria's Superstar Burna Boy to perform at 2023 UEFA Champions League final
Nigeria's superstar singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu better known as Burna Boy will perform live at the final of the 2023 UEFA Champions League in Istanbul, Turkey.
UEFA made the announcement via its official Twitter handle on Thursday, saying the Grammy’s award-winner singer will co-headline the competition’s final kick-off show by Pepsi, Although the other co-headliner was not announced.
“Big news! @burnaboy will be performing at the Champions League final in Istanbul alongside another amazing headliner,” the tweet read.
“Known for his global chart-topping hits Last Last and It’s Plenty, the Nigerian star will bring his energy and signature soulful vibes of afro beats to millions of fans before the biggest club fixture in football gets underway,” UEFA also wrote on its website.

“The UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show is a significant part of our joint efforts with Pepsi, providing an incredible opportunity to reach new and younger audiences with some of the biggest names and rising stars in music,” UEFA Marketing Director Guy-Laurent Epstein added.
“We’re excited to showcase a line-up of talented artists at this season’s final in Istanbul in what is sure to be an energetic and memorable performance.”
The Champions League final will be played in the 75,000-capacity Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul on Saturday, June 10. It is the home stadium of the Turkish national team.
In February, Burna Boy had also headlined the 2023 NBA All-Star Game halftime show in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA with Oscar-nominated singer and producer Tems and Rema.
The draws for the Champions League quarter-final and semi-final contests between Manchester City, Chelsea, Napoli, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Benfica, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich will be held on Friday 17 March, 2023 in Nyon.
Last season, the La Liga giants beat Liverpool to win the title for the 14th time.
