OFFICIAL: Man United Signs Marcel Sabitzer From Bayern Munich On Loan Until End Of Season.

Manchester United has confirm the signing of Marcel Sabitzer on loan from Bayern Munich until June 2023.

United were left scarce of a midfielder following the ankle Injury to Christian Eriksen who has been ruled out until at least April, and Scott Mc Tominay ruled out for only be out for a couple of games.

It leaves manager Erik ten Hag with just two central midfielders, Casemiro and Fred and four competitions to play in, causing fixture congestion potentially 33 games.

United will definitely be playing twice a week into March, and it could go beyond that if they do not get knocked out of the Europa League

They were reportedly offered free agent Isco, Atletico Madrid's Saul Niguez, and Yannick Carrasco, and Houssem Aouar from Lyon among others on Deadline Day, but preferred a move for Austrian midfielder Sabitzer.

The 28-year-old has made 443 career club appearances across Europe, including 54 since joining FC Bayern Munich in August 2021 on a four-year deal.

Previously he was club captain of RB Leipzig, and spent six seasons at the club, before move to Bayern, but has started just seven games in the Bundesliga so far this season.

He has 68 full international caps for the Austria national team, scoring 12 goals. 

His predominant position is the central midfielder, a box-to-box midfielder, he has also played as a defensive midfielder, attacking midfielder, second striker and winger during his career.

On joining the Red Devils, Marcel Sabitzer told the club's website:
