Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez Breaks Saudi Arabian Law By Living Together Despite Being Un-Married.

Cristiano Ronaldo and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez will reportedly break the law in Saudi Arabia by living together despite the country's laws forbidding non-married couples to cohabit together. 

Following Ronaldo's blockbuster arrival with Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr earlier this week, the Arab country will allow Cristiano Ronaldo live together with partner Georgina. 

Ronaldo has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract worth €200 million per year at Al-Nassr and he was unveiled on Tuesday at the Mrsool Park. Present at his unveiling were Georgina and their five children.

Ronaldo and Georgina have been together since he broke up with long-term partner Irina Shayk.

He had dated the Russian model Irina for nearly five years until January 2015, before his meeting Georgina in late 2016 at a Gucci store in Madrid, where she was working as a shop assistant.

The Argentine-Spanish model who has been alongside the 37-year-old for much of his recent career, is the mother of two of Ronaldo’s children (Bella and Alana). He also has three other children, Cristiano Jr, Eva and Mateo, who are twins.

Georgina has since attended Real Madrid, Juventus, Portugal and Manchester United matches, and has also been part of the family for the FIFA awards, attending the ceremonies with Ronaldo's mother and sisters.

Though she will still need a visa to live in the Gulf nation as she doesn’t automatically receive citizenship through marriage.

 

According to Spanish news agency EFE, Ronaldo's status makes a punishment highly unlikely. EFE also quoted two professional Saudi lawyers, who predicted the authorities would not take any action against the five-time Ballon d'Or winner. 

"Although the laws still prohibit cohabitation without a marriage contract, the authorities have begun to turn a blind eye and do not persecute anyone. Of course, these laws are used when there is a problem or a crime", one lawyer said.

The second lawyer said that now Saudi authorities do not interfere in this matter involving foreigners.

“The Saudi Arabian authorities, today, do not interfere in this matter [in the case of foreigners], but the law continues to prohibit cohabitation outside of marriage.”... he said.

Al Nassr were forced to postpone their first Saudi Pro League fixture since the arrival of Ronaldo by 24 hours due to technical problems at their stadium. 

Ronaldo on the other hand, is not expected to make his debut due to a two-game, he received after smashing an Everton fan's phone as he walked off the field after a match at Goodison Park in April last year.
