FIFA Confirms Kizz Daniel To Perform At The 2022 World Cup In Qatar.
Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, aka Kizz Daniel, has confirmed that he will be performing live at the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this month.
The 28-year-old is a multi-award-winning Afrobeats , Pop, R&B singer, and songwriter with hit songs such as Woju, Yeba, Buga, Cough to list a few.
His single, “Buga”, which he featured Tecno, garnered recognition from around the world as world leaders and celebrities joined in the viral #BugaChallenge.
His recent hit track “Odo” (Cough) which has gained successes of his global tour, and currently a sensation on the Internet, was released just last month.
Despite the absence of the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the tournament, the World's football governing body FIFA, made the confirmation on Friday as they listed Kizz Daniel as one of the headliners at the FIFA Fan Festival, along with other international award-winning singers American DJ and Music Producer, Diplo who will perform on November 22; Nigeria's Kizz Daniel scheduled for November 23 in a live-stage concert tagged “FIFA FAN FESTIVAL LIVE STAGE”.
Canadian crooner, Nora Fatehi on November 29; American singer, Trinidad Cardona on December 1 and Scotland's Calvin Harris on December 10.
The performance, which is an extension of FIFA Sound lineup, is an entertainment strategy designed over the 29-day tournament at Al Bidda Park in the heart of Doha, in a bid to bring more connections between the beautiful game of football and music.
This good news comes just months after the singer had earlier requested to God (in July), to grant him the opportunity to perform his hit track, ‘Buga’ with a mass choir at the World biggest sporting event in Qatar.
Kizz Daniel further confirmed this dream come true via his social media platforms;
He wrote, “This one is for Africa This one is for Vado Nation SEE YOU IN QATAR WORLD CUP 23 / 11 / 2022 Cc @fifaworldcup #BUGA #COUGH”
He told the FIFA website; “When you have a dream, you’ve got to grab it and never let go. Let’s all dream together at the FIFA Fan Festival in Doha and make it a once in a lifetime experience!.”

It's going to be the 22nd edition of the World Cup, and will be played from Sunday, November 20 to Sunday, December 18 in the Arab country Qatar.
The Nigeria's Super Eagles of Nigeria failed to qualify for the master showpiece, after losing out on a qualification ticket to neighbors Ghana back in March.
