Fans Reacts To Finidi George Fighting Over Pepe's Jersey With Moses Simon After Super Eagles Humiliating Defeat To Portugal.
A cross-section of Nigerians on social media have reacted to Finidi George begging for Pepe's jersey which had already been requested by Moses Simon just after suffering a 4-0 humiliating defeat against Portugal at the Jose Alvalade Stadium, Lisbon on Thursday night.
A first-half brace from Bruno Fernandes and a second-half goal each from Goncalo Ramos and Joao Mario gave Portugal the victory over Nigeria.
Finidi a former Super Eagles player, and now a member of the technical crew under Jose Peseiro, was caught on camera asking for a jersey from Portugal defender Pepe.
Former Real Madrid player Pepe had already started to remove his jersey and give it to Nigeria forward Moses Simon, and upon their conversation, there was an interruption by Super Eagles assistant coach Finidi George.
The video that emerged online suggests that Finidi, 51, wanted Pepe's jersey and expressed his displeasure as Simon approached him.
Although the 39-year-old Pepe ignored his pleas and handed the jersey to Simon.
Reacting to the incident, some Nigerians fans did not only expressed their sadness over the outcome of the result, but also described Finidi's actions after the game as Petty and unacceptable.

Also, another section of fans have called for the sack of Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro, while others criticized Emmanuel Dennis for his display and behaviour after missing a penalty in the game.
Bright Osayi-Samuel and Samuel Chukwueze were the only players singled out to have put up a good performance against the former European champions .
The Super Eagles will next return to action in the Africa Cup of Nations qualfying matches. They are scheduled to take on Guinea-Bissau at Abuja National Stadium on March 20.
