Bukayo Saka Has Helped Fund Surgery For 120 Children In Kano, Nigeria.

 Bukayo Saka has teamed up with charity organisation BigShoe to help fund the surgery for 120 children in Kano, Nigeria second largest city.

Most of those children involved suffer from diseases like inguinal hernias, umbilical hernias or brain tumours, and are now set to receive life-changing operations from the Arsenal winger.

BigShoe which was founded in 2006, has help less privileged children (1,600) in need of life-changing medical surgeries around the world.

Saka has Nigerian root, as his parents were both raised in Nigeria before moving to London, where the Gunners forward was born in 2001.

The 21-year-old, says he wants to have a positive impact in a country he feels “very connected to”.

“I feel blessed to be in a position where I can contribute to making the children’s lives easier and better through these surgeries,” he said.

“I still feel very connected to Nigeria. For me, it is very important to use my abilities to have a positive impact where I can and I have to say a big thank you to the whole BigShoe team for making this possible.”

Saka is currently in Qatar with England squad preparing for their opening 2022 FIFA World Cup Group B fixture against Iran on Monday, November 21.

The last EURO 2020 finalist would also face USA on November 25, and Wales on November 29 in sane group.
