“It's 100% Unfair To Judge Us Now, But At The End Of The Season”... Says Liverpool's Boss Jürgen Klopp.

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has told his critics that it is unfair to judge his team based on recent performances.

The Reds manager discussed a range of topics to the media at Anfield ahead of their Champions League clash against an unbeaten Napoli side on Tuesday night.

Liverpool lost their fourth league games this season last weekend, following a dramatic 2-1 defeat to Leeds United at Anfield on Saturday night.

It was the second consecutive defeat to a team in relegation places for the Reds, after losing 1-0 at Nottingham Forest the previous week, which leaves them ninth in the league standings with 16 points after 12 matches (4 wins, 4 draws, 4 loses).

They prepare to host a strong Serie A side Napoli who are yet to lose or draw a game in the champions league this season.

Both teams had first met earlier in September at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium with Luciano Spalletti's team cruising to a 4-1 win courtesy goals from, Potri Zieliński who scored a brace, André-Frank Anguissa and Giovanni Pablo Simeone added to the scoring before Luis Diaz netted the only goal for Liverpool later on.

Klopp has insisted he and the club should only be judged when the season ends as he previewed Liverpool's home clash with Napoli during a press conference on Monday.

"At the moment it’s not 100% fair to judge the team or the squad, because we haven’t had them available, missing up front top quality. We’d usually make changes... Klopp told reporters.

"I think the judgement for this should come later on in the season, or maybe at the end.

"It was never a quick fix, and now it looks like it's not a quick fix, but we will not stop fighting. I didn't read anything but probably everything will be judged about me now, which is absolutely fine. People look at me and say 'he looks tired' or whatever. I'm not. I cannot give that excuse.

"My job is not only being here when the sun is shining and somebody gives us a trophy. My job is to be there when we have to go through a really rough period as well, and I will do that, with all I have, and even more if possible. 

"We are all out there to be judged that's fine, that includes the managers and players, that's how it is in professional football.

"it’s normal to ask these questions. Arsenal and Man City will have to answer those questions later on. We are all out there to be judged, managers, players, that’s how it is. But I don’t think about it.

Despite progressing to the knock-out stages of the Champions League alongside Napoli with a victory over Ajax last week, Liverpool could top Group A by not only beating Napoli, the Serie A leaders, but would have to score four clear goals at Anfield.

"We're ready to face Napoli, we didn't against Leeds, physically. Now we have to find 11 to start, and give them a proper fight. There's only one way to face it. Go for it. That's what we will do"... Klopp added.

"Napoli play incredible football, maybe they are the team in form in Europe at moment. This is not a game for massive rotation. We want to win the game. I have to make the line-up later today or maybe tomorrow morning. Then we will go from there.

"A point to prove? The most important thing in the Champions League group is that you qualify for last 16, that's what we did. We will have a full Anfield so we have to be in top shape for that."
