Chelsea Put Two Goals Past AC Milan To Extend Winning Streak.

 Chelsea put on a composed display to easily defeat 10-man AC Milan 2-0 on Tuesday night and carry on Graham Potter's brilliant Champions League debut.

After a comfortable 3-0 victory against The Rossoneri at Stamford Bridge last week, it was time to visit the Italian giants at their stadium.

A crucial moment in the game occurred in the 18th minute when Fikayo Tomori was sent off against his former team and Chelsea took the lead. Tomori was given his marching orders by referee Daniel Siebert  for tripping Mason Mount in the box, which gave Jorginho the opportunity to coolly convert a penalty and make it 1-0.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made it three goals in three games for his new club by tucking in after a fluid move that included the excellent Mount in the 34th minute to extend Chelsea's lead before the one-sided halftime.

Despite having a smaller number of players, AC Milan created a few noteworthy openings. The greatest of them were missed by former Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, who missed a free header in the six-yard box, and Sergino Dest, who missed a shot at the back post in the second half.

In actuality though, Chelsea, who were commanded by 38-year-old Thiago Silva at the back, were reasonably comfortable in their lead and the three points takes them top of a previously wide-open Group E.

Less than a week after sitting at the bottom of the standings, their seven points have them ahead of RB Leipzig, Milan, and Dinamo Zagreb with two games remaining.

The Blues prepare to travel to Villa Park and face Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
