Robert Lewandowski Robbed Off His 35 Million Naira Wrist Watch On His Way To Barca Training.

On his way to training on Wednesday, Barcelona new signing Robert Lewandowski stopped for supporters and had his watch, which was worth about $71,000 (N35,000,000 or €70,000) stolen.

The thief, who had buried the watch nearby, was located and apprehended by police.

The robber opened the passenger door and stole the watch as Lewandowski, a €45 million summer acquisition from Bayern Munich, posed for pictures with supporters in his car outside Barca's training facility.

When Lewandowski tried to pursue him, he managed to escape and was subsequently discovered by the local police.

Players at Barca have previously voiced concerns about stunts performed by persons filming films for TikTok, which has resulted in security issues at the entrance to their training facility.

To prevent such events from happening in the future, according to club sources, more security changes will now be made.

In the dismal goalless stalemate at home to Rayo Vallecano on Saturday, Lewandowski made his LaLiga debut for Barcelona. The Polish international had only been officially registered with LaLiga the day before, following Barcelona's sale of additional assets to comply with the league's stringent financial requirements.
