Paul Pogba Set To Complete Move To Juventus From Man United On A Free Transfer.

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is close to finalising his return to Juventus in the coming days.

The midfielder departed Manchester United at the end of his contract last month and has been widely expected to seal a permanent return to Turin ahead of the 2022-23 season.

He agreed a contract believed to be four-years with the Serie A giants and is now set to undergo a medical with Massimiliano Allegri's side over the weekend. 

Reports in Italy claim Pogba will earn a basic salary of around £150,000 a week, although that will be boosted by a sizeable signing-on fee.

In a video footage uploaded via social media on Friday, Pogba was filmed in excitement dinning the black and white colours of Juventus, as he made the journey to Turin in a private jet.

The 29-year-old is seen with a huge grin on his face as he accompanied the video with the caption #Pogalmostback and exclaimed: "It's time. It's time, yes sir. See you soon." to the camera.

In the comments section Pogba's France team-mate Kylian Mbappe wrote: "You're really crazy 😂😂😂."

This will be the second time Pogba will be joining Juventus, He had  previously represented the Old Lady for four years between 2012 and 2016 following his first departure from Old Trafford and racked up 34 goals and 40 assists in 178 games for the club in all competitions.

Pogba won Serie A in each of his four seasons at the club, including two Coppa Italia, three Supercoppa Italiana winners' medals with Juve and also reached the final of the 2014-15 Champions League, which they lost to Barcelona.

The Juventus fans would be so delighted to see the World Cup winner return, having been linked with a free transfer to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

Carlo Ancelotti's side instead opted to sign his compatriot Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco.

 Juventus had sold Pogba to Man United in 2016 for a then world record fee of £89million, but has failed to live up to enormous price tag on his return with the Red Devils.

Pogba scored 39 goals and set up 51 more in 232 games for United, winning the Europa League and EFL Cup in 2017,ending the final five of his six seasons at the club trophyless.

He managed to score only one goal and made nine assists for the club in 2021-22 under Sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and interim Ralf Rangnick as managers.

The Frenchman becomes one of a number of players to leave the Red Devils on free transfers at the start of the month, with Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Nemanja Matic joining him alongside the retired Lee Grant.
