Man United Set To Hijack Arsenal Move For Lisandro Martinez From Ajax.

Manchester United has reportedly submitted an official bid of £37m for Lisandro Martinez, hoping to sign him before Arsenal who are also interested in the Ajax defender.

The Argentina international is sought after by Mikel Arteta's team as well, although rumours claim that United are the favorites to sign him this summer. 

Arsenal continues to show a lot of interest in Martinez but has fallen behind United in the battle to sign him.

According to The Athletic, United are in advanced transfer negotiations with the Amsterdam club because they believe the player would be interested in moving to Manchester.

Martinez's bond with Ten Hag is also considered to play a role because the adaptable defender wants to reconnect with his former manager.

Other targets like Tyrell Malacia have been found in other areas, as the negotiations to bring Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona to Old Trafford drags on, Lisandro Martinez is also one of Erik ten Hag's top objectives.
