Gabriel Jesus Shines As Arsenal Continue Impressive Preseason Form Against Everton.

Following their club's successful preseason run which was extended with a 2-0 victory over fellow Premier League team Everton in a friendly match played at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore Maryland, the optimism among Arsenal supporters is only building.

The Gunners cruised to a 5-3 win over FC Nurnberg last week as part of the club's training camp in Germany.

That was the first opportunity for supporters to catch a glimpse of Arsenal summer signings Gabriel Jesus, having joined from Man City for a fee of around £45 million earlier this month.

The Brazilian striker had already set a tone for his Arsenal tenure with two goals as a substitute in the friendly against German outfit Nuremberg.

Big summer signing Gabriel Jesus scored a goal and an assist in his first start for Arsenal, as the Gunners dominated Everton in the opening period and scored both of its goals before the break.

Jesus was lurking at the far post when Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford whiffed on a corner kick in the 33rd minute, and he promptly rocketed the ball into the roof of the net. 

A few minutes later, Bukayo Saka was given an easy tap-in as Jesus prodded the ball into the box, skipping over the entire Everton back line.

Gabriel Jesus once again starred as center forward for Arsenal, who had a strong center back pairing of William Saliba and Gabriel. 

With his more enthusiastic play as the primary striker in place of Jesus, Eddie Nketiah was the team's shining star in the second half.

The match against Everton showed glimpses of what Arsenal would bring to the Premier League come next season. 

Arsenal’s early preparation for the August 5 start of the Premier League season away to Crystal Palace continues. The North London club would take on MLS’s Orlando City and another Premier league rivals Chelsea in Florida.
