Chelsea Lose Interest In Signing Cristiano Ronaldo

 Chelsea's pursuit of Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has come to an end.

The 37-year-old Cristiano wants to quit the team and a transfer to Stamford Bridge has been suggested.

However, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel declared on Wednesday that his "priority is on defense" after signing Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling.

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has also stated that Ronaldo is "in our plans" and "not for sale."

The attacker has not yet traveled with Manchester United on their preseason tour of Asia and Australia due to "personal concerns," according to Ten Hag.

On Wednesday, when questioned by media about Ronaldo's interest, Tuchel replied: "The career of Ronaldo speaks for itself. I'm aware that there are rumors floating about, but I won't start talking about the best players at other top clubs."

Sterling, an England international, is reportedly a star acquisition for Chelsea's new owners, who are reportedly thrilled with his hiring.

In preparation for the upcoming season, Sterling has joined the Chelsea group in Los Angeles.

Romelu Lukaku left on loan for Inter Milan, and Tuchel expressed his optimism that Sterling could "mould" his club and lead a young assault.

With Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli ready to sign a four-year contract and Nathan Ake of Manchester City in negotiations, the German coach said Chelsea needed to "work smart and fast" in the transfer market to catch their opponents after sanctions were placed on the team.
