Asisat Oshoala Is The Only Nigerian In The Final Top-10 For 2022 CAF Awards.
Asisat Oshoala, a star for the Super Falcons and FC Barcelona Women, has been included on the 2022 CAF Awards' final shortlist.
The final shortlist for the CAF Women's Footballer of the Year award was announced by the confederation of African football (CAF) on Thursday via their Twitter handle.
Uchenna Kanu and Rasheedat Ajibade didn't make the final selection which has spark various reaction and controversies, but Oshoala, a four-time winner, was one of the nominees and the only Nigerian.
Due to her distinction from the other nominees, the 27-year-old is the favorite to win the prize.
20 goals in 19 league games earned her the Pichichi honor in Spain as the highest Goal Scorer of the league.
Both Asisat and Retired Falcons Player, Pepertua Nwokocha have won the CAF Women's Footballer of the Year award four times.
However, Oshoala look to surpass the feat by winning it the fifth time.

The award ceremony will take place on 21 July 2022 in Rabat, Morocco.
