Ajax Complete Transfer Of Steven Bergwijn From Tottenham.
Tottenham Hotspur winger Steven Bergwijn has been acquired by Ajax for a record-breaking £26 million.
The transfer fee is a record for not only Ajax but also for any Eredivisie club.
The 24-year-old international from the Netherlands, who had previously played junior football for Ajax, has agreed to a five-year deal.
"Steven's decision to move to Ajax is evidence of his ambition," remarked head coach Alfred Schreuder.
"He is a player with a lot of strengths. He is extremely motivated and goal-oriented. Of course, I'm glad we were able to sign him; he gives our team a new quality."

Bergwijn arrived in North London from PSV Eindhoven under Jose Mourinho in January 2020 but has struggled to secure a regular starting role shirt, managing to score eight goals in 81 games.
After finding himself behind Lucas Moura in the pecking order, he was being further pushed down by Dejan Kulusevski, and was only only a bit-part player under Antonio Conte.
The arrival of Richarlison was expected to signal the end of Bergwijn's time with Tottenham, as he seeks for regular game time in his bid to make the Netherlands squad for the 2022 World Cup.
Bergwijn wrote on Instagram, "Dear Spurs supporters, thank you for all the fantastic experiences and memories.
It was a privilege to be a member of this lovely club.
