Ajax Reach Agreement With Rangers For The Signing Of Super Eagles Defender Calvin Bassey.
Calvin Bassey is set to join Ajax from Glasgow Rangers after the two clubs reached an agreement for a deal for the defender.
The fee is £18.7m (€22m) but with add-ons could rise to £22.9m (€27m) with the deal also set to include 10 per cent sell-on fee.
The highly-rated Nigeria Super Eagles defender, who can play both left-back and center-back, was being monitored by numerous clubs in Europe, Brighton, Aston Villa, including Bundesliga and Serie A sides.

It is understood Ajax head coach Alfred Schreuder had spoken to Bassey over the phone and was impressed, with the Dutch champions preparing a formal bid as they look to replace Lisandro Martinez, who is set to join Manchester United.
When Giovanni van Bronckhorst's team made it to the Europa League final last season, Bassey was a highlight for them.
The 22-year-old made 50 appearances across all competitions last season and was named in the Europa League team of the season following Rangers' run to the final.
He also played a key role as the club won the Scottish Cup in May, adding to the Scottish Premiership title he won the previous campaign.

Bassey's deal with Rangers has two years left on it, and his imminent departure will see Rangers pocket a club-record fee for a player that cost them a mere £230,000 from Leicester City two years ago and committed to a four-year contract.
Bassey's international teammate Joe Aribo's transfer from Rangers to Southampton was approved by the club's board last week.
On the first day of the Scottish Premiership season, Van Bronckhorst's team will travel to Livingston to begin their competitive season.
