Croatia Holds France To A Score Draw In Nations League.

 Defenders of the title were being held by Croatia in Split, France has one point from two Nations League games.

The match which went down at the Poljud Stadium on Monday night, was a rematch of the 2018 World Cup final when France trashed Croatia 4-2 to win the world's biggest football tournament in Russia. 

Croatia and France went into the tie with the hope of bouncing back from a disappionting start after they both lost their group opening fixtures. 

France boss Didier Deschamps made ten changes from the squad that lost 2-1 to Denmark on Friday after squandering a lead.

When Adrien Rabiot finished Wissam Ben Yedder's ball with a cool finish in the 52nd minute, the visitors appeared to be on their way to victory.

However, Andrej Kramaric came off the bench to score a fine penalty in the 82nd minute after a foul by Jonathan Clauss was awarded to him by the aid of the video assistance referee (VAR).

The goal secured a vital point for Croatia, as both Croatia and France are still behind Denmark and Austria who won their opening group fixtures .
