Paul Pogba Finalising A Four-Year Deal With Juventus Ahead Of A Free Transfer From Man United.

Paul Pogba is set to depart Manchester United when his contract expires at the end of this month, and he is close to finalising a four-year contract at former club Juventus on a free transfer.

The France international has been free to negotiate with clubs over his next move since January. He would leave Man United for nothing on July 1st after a rocky six-year stay at Old Trafford.

Pogba’s second spell at Man United has been a failure, and with supporters and fans happy to see him go, a new managerial appointment in 'Erik Ten Hag', was not also enough to keep him in Manchester.

In 20 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils last season, Pogba scored only one goal.

He leaves the club having made 226 appearances in all competitions, scoring 39 goals throughout his second spell at Man United, winning the 2017 League Cup and Europa League.

Pogba's representatives have been holding talks for several weeks before Juve's last game of the 2021/22 season, and an agreement is said to be close.

Reports from Italy are claiming that the 29-year-old has already agreed to a four-year contract at former club Juventus worth €8 million plus bonuses per season.

Foot Mercato says he has signed on a four-year deal. United bought Pogba from Juventus for £89m in 2016, which was the highest fee for a footballer at the time.

The transfer will see him re-join the Serie A giants for a second time after leaving them to sign for the Red Devils for a then world-record fee of £89million back in 2016. 

The Turin outfit have always been confident of their move for their former player, despite the interest from PSG, Real Madrid, and Man City.

Pogba turned down a move to bitter rivals Man City, as the Premier League Champions made a stunning bid to sign him, with Pep Guardiola meeting the midfielder and the club drafting a lucrative contract to demonstrate their desire to sign him.

While Real Madrid has turned to other targets, PSG are still in open dialogue with Pogba's representatives, and it's expected the 2018 World Cup winner will announce his final decision in the coming days. 

Pogba enjoyed his most successful four-year spell in club football with the Old Lady, establishing himself as one of the very best midfielders in the world as he won 4 Serie A titles between 2012 to 2016 while also reaching the final of the UEFA Champions League. 

He will therefore strengthen a team of Massimiliano Allegri who needa reinforcements, in the middle in particular, and allow the Italian gaint regain its bragging rights on the national scene.
