OFFICIAL: Reactions As Peter Drury Leaves Premier League TV To Sign Up With America's NBC.
End of an era as premier League fans at large will no longer hear the poetic commentaries on their televisions.
A big change is in the works for NBC's Premier League coverage, as Premier League fans in America will have a new lead voice from the pitch come August. Peter Drury will replace Arlo White as NBC’s lead Premier League announcer.
The 54-year-old broadcaster is known for his adjective poetic commentary style in the English Premier league since 1998, blessing football fans all over the world with his epic moments of finesse broadcasting.

The Athletic confirmed Monday after a report by The Daily Mail last weekend, ahead of it's tenth season of broadcasting the Premier League in the US, NBC sports is making a big change to it's coverage having now snapped up Drury as the new voice of its Premier League coverage.
In November, the Premier League agreed to a new six-year rights deal in the United States with NBC Sports, and the agreement is reportedly worth more than £2 billion ($2.7 billion), well over double the previous deal, and will run until 2028.
I see news has finally spread about Peter Drury joining NBC. He’ll be missed at PLP.

Drury served on commentary this season for CBS Sports’ coverage of the Champions League. He had a long run with ITV Sport as their No. 2 soccer commentator and has recently worked for Amazon Prime Video for its Premier League coverage in the UK as well as BT.
He is to begin commentating Premier League games for NBC Sports when the new season starts on August 6, 2022. Prior to this season, Drury has been calling the biggest games on the world-feed, often alongside Jim Beglin.

In another twist, World Soccer Talk also reports that more changes could be in the offing, as the contracts of the rest of NBC’s Premier League teams are up. In the company’s nine years broadcasting the Premier League, its only major change has been to replace the departing Kyle Martino with Tim Howard ahead of the 2020-21 season. While replacing White is a significant change for NBC, replacing Rebecca Lowe, Robbie Earle, and/or Robbie Mustoe will be a dramatic shift that many fans will be less likely to accept.
Several Premier League fans has reacted to the news and how Peter Drury's nostalgic commentary would surely be missed.
