BREAKING: Petr Cech Steps Down As Chelsea Technical And Performance Advisor.

 Petr Cech, a technical and performance advisor for Chelsea, is the newest employee to leave the team since their acquisition.

Cech, a former player for the London club and a Czech Republic international, played there for a while. After leaving the game, he moved back to west London and worked for Chelsea under Roman Abramovich. He will leave after Todd Boehly's group has been replaced.

With Chelsea stating Cech will depart on June 30, this exit will not be the first of the summer. Bruce Buck, the chairman, has also stepped down. Marina Granovskaia, the person responsible for a number of recent transfers, is also leaving, along with Guy Laurence, the former chief executive, and Christophe Lollichon, the former head of goalkeepers.

Cech informed club media that playing this role for Chelsea over the past three years has been an enormous honour. "Now that the Club is under new management, I believe it's time for me to stand down. I'm happy to see the Club in such good shape under the new ownership, and I have faith in its continued success both on and off the field.

Boehly made an effort to retain Cech on board, but he eventually left. Despite the owner wanting to employ his experience during the current transfer window, the ex-goalkeeper is claimed to have persuaded the American that now was the perfect moment to go on.

"Petr is an essential member of the Chelsea family," Boehly said in his thank-you speech to the departing Cech.
