UCL: Luka Modric Compares Man City To Chelsea And PSG Ahead Of UCL Semifinal Return-leg Clash.
Luka Modric believes his Real Madrid team will need to put in their finest performance of the season to overcome Manchester City's first-leg lead.
The two gaints face each other in a rematch of last week's Champions League semi-final dramatic encounter, which ended 4-3 in favor of the Blue.
"We know we have to put on our finest performance of the season," Modric said ahead of the matchup.
"Of course we can (win the tie); we're confident in our ability to recover." We will advance to the next round if we put out our best effort. Our followers are constantly behind us, which is why we never give up. One of the things this club has taught us is that.
"We have to play this game with a little faith and a lot of aggression and energy - we have to show everyone that we are Real Madrid, the best team in the world," the 2018 Ballon d'Or winner said. That's what we'll be bringing tomorrow.

"From the beginning, the fans will have to be involved in the game. They'll have a significant impact on the game."
This season, Madrid has already advanced over Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea in the final rounds in two very different ties, having to come back from a 2-0 deficit against PSG and then nearly squandering a 3-1 first-leg lead against Thomas Tuchel's reigning champions.
"I can't really tell you how hard it's going to be," Modric admits, when asked if City will be even tougher.
"In the league and the Champions League, we've faced a lot of great teams. Tomorrow's opponents are just as good as PSG and Chelsea, and I can't say whether the game will be more difficult. They're a fantastic squad with some fantastic players, so it'll be a tough game."
Real, who were crowned Spanish champions for the 35th time over the weekend, will benefit greatly from Casemiro's return to midfield.
