Tammy Abraham Ends Sensational Roma's Debut Season With UECL Crown.
Tammy Abraham crowned a perfect debut season at AS Roma with UEFA Europa Conference League glory on Wednesday night.
The former Chelsea striker departed the West London club last summer after fallen out of favour with the Blues manager Thomas Tuchel.
Following the arrival of Romelu Lukaku, Abraham who was seeking for regular time, decided to reunite with his former boss Jose Mourinho completing an inspired move to the Italian capital.
Roma's €45 million investment so far appears to have been well spent, as Abraham has proved his worth across the 2021/22 campaign, boasting a formidable record of 27 goals in 53 appearances to instantly become a hero at the Stadio Olimpico.
He has been more prolific than club legends Gabriel Omar Batistuta and Vincenzo Montella on their debut seasons at the club.
Despite not scoring in the final at the Arena Kombëtare in Tirina, the England international's collaboration with one of the greatest managers in football "Mourinho" was made more special, as they clinched the inaugural trophy of UEFA’s third-string club competition on Wednesday night.
Nicolo Zaniolo scored the game's only goal against Feyenoord, with a clever dinked finish in the first-half to give the Giallorossi a historic win.
it was the club's first ever UEFA-recognised European crown.

Tammy Abraham who won the UEFA Champions League and Super Cup with Chelsea, was proud to help Roma to their UECL triumph insisting that his team deserved the victory on the night.
“One of the things I said when I first came here is that I wanted to help the team reach the final and win trophies. In my first season I have achieved that,” he told DAZN.
“We started far back, we deserve all of it,”
“This trophy has enormous significance for me, my teammates and the fans, we worked hard all year”
"I love them (the fans). From day one I came here it has been the best. We are champions, I am happy to be a part of the team, now it is time to celebrate and enjoy."
“I have no more energy left,” he concluded. “And you could see it even today. But for this team I would give everything, I’m proud of everyone.”
The 24-year-old attacker, has moulded himself into a Mourinho-like player, as there was a moment during the Final against Feyenoord that went viral, and got fans talking online.
It happened that Abraham went down seemingly injured, but also gave a sly wink to the camera, which is so so typical of footballers playing under Mourinho.
It all helped to run down the clock and bring home the silverware.

With sensational performances so far from Abraham, Roma is apparently discouraging potential suitors with a speculated €100 million asking price for the prolific striker.
