"I Don't Like Tottenham Style Of Football" — Jurgen Klopp Blast Conte's Defensive Tactics.

 Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp slammed Tottenham's football tactics after their 1-1 draw at Anfield, which ended the Reds' title ambitions.

Klopp, who made a similar charge against Atletico Madrid in 2020, claimed he "doesn't like" Antonio Conte's side's style of play on Saturday night and encouraged them to add more to the spectacle.

The Reds suffered a blow to their hopes of winning their Premier League title, following a 1-1 draw with Spurs at Anfield.

Luis Diaz’s deflected strike cancelled out Son Heung-Min’s opener with just over 15 minutes left, to ensure both sides share the points.

Jurgen Klopp stated that the two teams' relative schedule loads played a role in the result, and that it demonstrated why Liverpool's quest for an unprecedented quadruple this season has been so difficult in the past.

He also added that it is impossible to beat a “world-class” Tottenham Hotspur side that is well-rested.

“It is incredibly difficult to play against an opponent with world-class players and a world-class manager when they have had a week to prepare and we play every three days,” Klopp said.

The German manager further went on to blast Conte's defensive tactics;

"I'm sorry I'm the wrong person for that defensive football, I don't enjoy this sort of football.

"But that is a personal issue for me. I believe  Spurs are world-class and should contribute more to the game. "I believe they had 36, 38 percent possession against us [the reported figure was 35 percent]." But that is my issue. I can't help it. That is why I am unable to participate. Yes, world-class players block every ball, which is quite difficult. Whatever, whatever. Everything is fine. I simply cannot, that is why it is so implausible.

“For all the praise for Tottenham, they draw against us, and won against City, the gameplay works for these games but they are still fifth and for everything they were time-wasting, it makes not easier, it’s smart but not easy.”

"I'd love to sit here and predict that Manchester City will lose points, but I don't think so." I wish I could see things in a different light, but I can't. But we'll have to wait and see what happens.

“The dressing room is not flying, come on, but there are other games to play. We just have to keep going.”

Liverpool's push for the Premier League title continues at Aston Villa on Tuesday night, after which there is a little rest time for Jurgen Klopp's side who face Chelsea in Saturday's FA Cup final at Wembley, as the continue to hope on the quadruple.
