"Give Me Real Madrid, I Have A Score To Settle" — Liverpool Star Mo Salah.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has told Real Madrid that he has "a score to settle" after the Spanish club set up a rematch with Liverpool in the Champions League final.

The Reds qualified for this month's final at the Stade de France Paris after overcoming a scare to eliminate Villarreal. Jurgen Klopp's team headed to Spain with a two-goal lead from Anfield, but it was wiped away in a frantic first half at the Estadio de la Ceramica.

After the half, goals from Fabinho, Luis Diaz, and Sadio Mane ensured Liverpool not only won the game, but also advanced to the next round with a 5-2 aggregate score.

Salah had admitted after Liverpool's win against Villarreal on Tuesday night that he would like to face Real Madrid instead of Manchester City in the Champions League final.

The 29-year-old's wish is now going to come true, as Los Blancos beat the Citizens 3-2 on Wednesday night to advance through to the final with a 6-5 victory on aggregate.

With an incredible victory, the 13-time champions will now meet English football's most successful European team in a rematch of the 2018 final in Kyiv. 

Los Blancos won 3-1 on that occasion, in a game remembered for two costly errors by Reds goalkeeper Loris Karius.

Salah further went on to confirm his earlier statement shortly after the Real Madrid game has ended.

What Salah is actually referring to dates back to back to the 2018 UCL final, when Liverpool faced Real Madrid, Jurgen Klopp men had to deal with the reigning European champions without the presence Salah in major part of the game.

The Egyptian was forced to leave the game after a harsh challenge by Sergio Ramos in the 27th minute of that encounter, the two collided while competing for the ball, with the Real defender locking arms and collapsing to the ground, as he reportedly dislocated Salah's shoulder after the intentional tackle.

Although Ramos has since moved on to PSG and is no longer playing for the Spanish giants, but Salah will be out for revenge when the two teams meet in Paris on Saturday, May 28.
