Cristiano Ronaldo Looking Forward To Work Under Ten Hag, Despite Warning That He Could Leave Man United Under Rangnick.

 Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo warned the club that he will leave at the end of season, if Ralf Rangnick is retained as the long-term manager.

Ralf Rangnick was named interim manager after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was fired due to dries if poor results in December. The German's appointment came to many football lovers as a surprise for the fact that the German has no CV worthy of the job and the results did not get better under him.

The former Leipzig's boss was supposed to keep the ship afloat, but discontent among the squad swiftly spread as morale decreased rapidly.

For these reasons, Ronaldo’s future at Old Trafford has been a subject of speculation.

The Portuguese international made a return to his former club last summer, and despite having a solid season, being United's top scorer with 24 goals, it was evident early on that the 37-year-old did not fit Rangnick's style.

According to ESPN, Ronaldo told Man United in January that if Rangnick was futher appointed as the permanent manager, he would quit. The forward allegedly felt undercut by comments made by Rangnick to the media concerning his offensive players' work rate.

Ronaldo was also reportedly irritated with Rangnick's backroom personnel, whom he did not believe have the required qualities to return the club to its former glory.

But with the appointment of former Ajax coach, Erik ten Hag as United's new manager following a very disappointing season, the rumours seems to have calmed down.

Although there were talks about Ronaldo not being an ideal fit for the Dutchman’s preferred playing style, the 52-year-old has insisted Ronaldo will play a key role in his squad next season.

Ten Hag has given a blunt response saying that he wants to keep the veteran forward happy to stay at the Theatre of Dreams.

Ronaldo is also believed to be looking forward to working under ten Hag and he is expected to stay for another year.
