Victor Osimhen Receive Serie A Player Of The Month Award Despite Napoli Loss To Fiorentina (Watch Highlights).
Victor Osimhen was officially presented with the Serie A Player of the Month award for March after Napoli’s home league defeat to Fiorentina on Sunday.
CloudNine Sports reported late last month that Osimhen had become the first Nigerian to win the award, following an impressive performance in March where he scored four goals in three games for Napoli.
He beat AC Milan defender Pierre Kalulu and on-loan Fiorentina midfielder Lucas Torreira to clinching the award.

The Nigerian international made his return to the Napoli starting lineup for the first time since the last international break which saw the Super Eagles fail to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Having missed out of last week's 3-2 win away to Atalanta, Osimhen returned to action for Napoli, but suffered a painful defeat at home.
His goal and assist wasn't enough, as Napoli lost 3-2 against Fiorentina inside the Diego Maradona stadium.
Nicolas Gonzalez's strike in the 29th minute opened scoring for the visitors on the day, but Dries Mertens goal 13 minute into the second half through an assist from Osimhen draw the home side level.
Jonathan Ikone and Arthur Cabral goals in the 66th and 72nd minutes respectively, saw Fiorentina double their lead to 3-1 and put the game beyond the reach of Napoli.
Osimhen did pull one back in the 74th minute to reduce the deficit to 3-2 but it was nothing but a consolation goal as Fiorentina held on for a famous win.
The goal for Osimhen makes it his 12th goal, and four assists in 21 Serie A games this season.

Luciano Spalletti's men missed the chance to go top following the defeat, as they drop to third spot with 66 point, same points with second-place Inter Milan who have a game in hand, and AC Milan in first with 68 points, all in the race for the Scudetto.
