Tammy Abraham Named The Serie A Player Of The Month For March 2022
Tammy Abraham has been named Serie A Player of the Month for March by the Association of Italian Footballers.
The Associazione Italiana Calciatori, (Italian footballers' player association), announced their Serie A Femminile Team of the Year for 2021, a roster that includes five Roma women, over half of the squad, but Roma's AIC honors didn't end there.
Tammy Abraham was named AIC Player of the Month for March 2022 earlier today, joining his Giallorosse teammates on the list of recent AIC accolades.
The Englishman played 416 minutes across all competitions in March, making five starts against clubs as diverse as Atalanta, Vitesse, and Lazio, but the Player of the Month title isn't given out just for showing up, so it's fortunate that Abraham scored 3 league goals during March, a crucial goal in the Conference League and a memorable brace in Roma's 3-0 derby victory against Lazio on March 20th, his fourth brace of the season.

The former Chelsea striker is already having great first season in Rome, which is swiftly becoming legendary, thanks to his amazing superb form in March.
He has met and even exceeded expectations with the Giallorossi having linked up with his former boss Jose Mourinho from Chelsea last summer, and he's only getting started.
Chelsea reportedly included a £68m buy-back clause which can only be triggered after the player has completed two seasons with Roma.

Abraham has scored 25 goals and five assists in 43 appearances across all competitions, including 38 starts. He has also logged over 3,300 minutes.
He has been more prolific than club legends Gabriel Omar Batistuta and Vincenzo Montella on their debut seasons at the club.
With performances like these, Roma's €45 million investment appears to have been well spent, especially considering Roma is apparently discouraging potential suitors with a speculated €100 million asking price for the 24-year-old star striker.

The Giallorossi are currently unbeaten in 12 Serie A games following a 1-1 draw against Napoli at the Stadio Maradona on Monday. A late goal from Stephan El Shaarawy allowed the Giallorossi to pick up a point in Naples.
Sitting fifth in the league standings with 58 points from 33 matches, they play away to second place Inter Milan on Saturday.
They are still in contention for the Europa Confrence League, and will travel to play Leicester City in the first-leg semifinal clash on Thursday April 28.
