Paul Pogba May Have Played His Last Game As Man United Player After Injury Rules Him Out Till The End Of The Season.

Pogba was forced off off the pitch in the first half after picking up an injury in Man United's embarrassing 4-0 loss at Liverpool on Tuesday night, with Jesse Lingard replacing him as substitute.

United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has further revealed ahead of the crucial trip to Arsenal that the Frenchman is unlikely to play for the Red Devils again this season as he is facing at least four weeks on the sidelines; 

"I don't think it is very likely he will be able to play again," the manager said in his pre-match press conference. 

"Pogba's contract expires at the end of the season, and as it seems after the scan we did, it's very unlikely he will play until the end of the season.

"The doctor told me it will take four weeks minimum for him to recover. Since the last game is the end of May, I don't think it is very likely he will be able to play again."

With five games to go, the chances are that he will not be in action for the rest of the season.

Pogba has made 27 appearances this season for United, and a further seven for France, and has scored once for the Reds in 2021/22 - a belter in the 1-1 draw at Burnley, in February.

He has registered an impressive nine assists in 20 Premier League outings since August.

Man United face Arsenal in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, which would decide the possibility of either teams finishing in the top four.

The better news for Man United is that Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Scott McTominay are all available for the crucial tie this weekend.

Meanwhile, Rangnick gave no indication of whether Harry Maguire would feature against Arsenal but said the whole club is behind him after the United captain received a bomb threat to his home on Thursday.
