Man United Face Heavy Blacklash From Squad Players After Offering To Make Paul Pogba Highest-Paid Player.

Manchester United teammates are reportedly furious upon the decision of a new contract being offered to Paul Pogba.

Pogba's current contract with the club is set to expire at the end of the season, and has so far refused to commit to United's offer of a new deal worth a whopping £400,000-a-week with add-ons. 

The Red Devils chiefs scrambling to try and protect their asset, are now willing to potentially taking it up to £500,000-a-week, which would make the Frenchman become the Premier League's highest-paid player.

The offer is said to have caused fury within the United dressing-room, with other team-mates angry the club are willing to pay Pogba twice as much as they're make, and are demanding the same parity in wages.

According to the Daily Mirror, The players do not feel Pogba is worthy of such a massive pay hike, given that he is not a regular, plays so infrequently, criticises the club and openly discuss about leaving the club.

The 2018 World Cup winner, currently earns £290,000-per-week, and he is one of five players out of contract with United this summer. Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, and Edinson Cavani are all preparing to leave Old Trafford and join new clubs.

If Pogba finally decides to accept the new lucrative contract offer, he would surpass Portuguese superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo £450,000-a-week, David De Gea £375,000-per-week, Jadon Sancho, and Raphael Varane who both earn £300,000-a-week, Bruno Fernandes £250,000, and captain Harry Maguire's £200,000 in the club’s wage’s structure.

The 29-year-old is being targtted by Paris Saint Germain, Real Madrid, with his former club Juventus also showing interest in taking him back as a free agent this summer if he refuses United's offer.

Sources claims that although Pogba would be entitled to a huge signing-on fee if he were to move as a free agent, he is unlikely to command the same wages United are offering him elsewhere. 

United will begin recruitment of new players and retention of existing squad members  after the appointment of Erik ten Hag as the next new manager.
