Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola Are Now Longest-Serving Premier League Managers After Sean Dyche Sack.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and Man City manager Pep Guardiola are now Premier League’s longest-serving managers following the SACK of Sean Dyche as Burnley manager.

Burnley announced a shocking decision to part company with manager Sean Dyche, assistant manager Ian Woan, first-team coach Steve Stone and goalkeeping coach Billy Mercer on Good Friday morning via the club's website.

The exit of the ex-Clarets boss bring an end to an era at the Turf Moor having spent close to ten years at the touchline with the club, with Sam Allardyce, Rafa Benitez, Joey Barton all linked to succeed Dyche in the hot-seat.

Dyche '50' who had been in charge since October 2012, leaves the club in real danger of surrendering their Premier League status, with the Clarets sitting in 18th position, and they have just eight matches remaining to avoid being relegated to the Championship next season.

The club's chairman Alan Pace said in a statement: "Sean has been a credit both on and off the pitch, respected by players, staff, supporters, and the wider football community. However, results this season have been disappointing." He added: "We feel a change is needed to give the squad the best possible chance of retaining its Premier League status.

Dyche took charge of  425 games, got 149 wins, 118 draws, 158 losses and won one Championship title, two times Premier League Manager of the Month, and four times Championship Manager of the Month.

Apart from Alex Ferguson with Man United, and Arsène Wenger at Arsenal, no manager have been able to stay quite long in the Premier League, the hire-and-fire culture is the common method applied by most clubs when things go bad.

However, after his Dyche departure having been the League's longest-serving manager until now, a new name has now emerged at the top of the list.

With Sean Dyche leaving Burnley, Jurgen Klopp is now the Premier League’s longest serving manager (6 years, 188 days).

The second longest serving manager is Pep Guardiola (5 years, 287 days).

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is now the longest-serving manager in the Premier League being in charge of the Reds for six years, six months and seven days.

Pep Guardiola is second after taking charge of Man City five years and nine months ago, while Brentford boss Thomas Frank is third on the list after succeeding Dean Smith in October 2018, (spending three years, five months, 30 days) with the Bees.
