Barcelona Agrees Personal Terms With Raphinha From Leeds United.

• Barcelona have reportedly agreed personal terms and agent fees with Raphinha and his camp.

• The Leeds winger will ignore other offers and do everything on his part to force a move to Barça in the summer. 

Raphinha has a contract with Leeds until June 2024, but has stopped all the renewal offers that his club has sent him. In this way, he has staged his desire to leave the Elland Road next summer. 

He joined Leeds from Rennes on transfer deadline day 2020 for £17 million under Marcelo Bielsa, scoring six and assisting nine in his first Premier League season. 

With eight Premier League games remaining for his team this term, he will continue to try and put his team out of the relegation zone with the same level of commitment and professionalism.

According to reports from Diario Sport on Sunday, Raphinha has agreed personal terms on a five-year deal with the Catalans and the way has been cleared for the two clubs to negotiate a fee. 

Raphinha, whose agent is Deco, is also very committed to making the move happen and will reject any further offers from other clubs out of hand having been in advanced discussion with Barca over a deal since February.

The Brazilian international contract includes a €75 million release clause in case Leeds will stay in Premier League next season, and just €25 million if they get relegated this season. This could be the reason why Barcelona are waiting to make a bid.

They’re gonna wait till end of the season to start another negotiations with Leeds for a fee for the 25-year-old.

The reports also states that Leeds United have already turned down an offer of €35m for the player and as a result, Barcelona are looking to use Spanish defender Oscar Mingueza as part of the deal. 

Barcelona wants Raphina to replace Ousmane Dembele in case the french winger leaves on a free this summer. 

Joan Laporta recently stated that Ousmane Dembele had given Barcelona no indication he wanted to stay at the Camp Nou next season, and should the Raphinha deal go through, he will have a leading role, with a starting role on the right side of the attack for Barca. He also has the explicit support of manager Xavi Hernández who supports his signing.

Raphinha’s ‘buzzing’ and is ready to join Barca, if agreement can be reached between clubs. He would try to get his current club, Leeds, to accept the second Blaugrana offer and manage to land at the Camp Nou next summer.

Raphinha himself is happy to accept a salary that fits the new wage structure at Camp Nou, which will complement his income with variable bonuses, according to the objectives achieved. 

Recently becoming a regular in the Brazilian national squads, Raphinha has three goals in his seven Selecao caps. Those have come as a reward for some scintillating form for Leeds United, where he remains one of keys to their survival in the Premier League. 

He is Leeds United current top scorer this season with nine goals, and an additional three assists so far.
