PSG Worried Over Neymar's Injury Scare Ahead Of Man City Champions League Tie.

Paris Saint-Germain are set to miss the services of Neymar when they face Nantes this weekend, and ahead of their crucial Champions League game with Manchester City.

The Brazilian suffered a muscle injury while on international duties with his country last Friday. He missed the World Cup qualifying game against Argentina on Wednesday which ended in a goalless draw.

Mauricio Pochettino's side host Nantes tomorrow in the Ligue 1, and Neymar would be unavailable for the game.

PSG are currently ten-point ahead of second place Lens in Ligue 1 after just 13 games and are 18 points ahead of last year’s champions Lille, so can afford to prioritise their upcoming Champions League match.

L’Equipe reports that Neymar is set to miss PSG’s league game at the weekend, after returning from international duty with Brazil with a thigh problem, with the hope that he will have recovered in time to be able to play in midweek.

The French side would have to defeat Manchester City on Wednesday to reclaim top spot in group A.

Both sides met at the Parc des Princes earlier in September which saw them defeat last seasons fanalist 2-0, thanks to goals from Idrissa Gueye and Lionel Messi.

Victory for City will confirm their position as group leaders with a game to spare, and get an easier round-of-16 tie on paper.

Anything less than a victory for PSG could leave them with an awkward final group game where a result will be needed against Club Brugge on December 7 to qualify for the knockout rounds.
