Free Agent Dani Alves Makes A Return To Barcelona.

FC Barcelona have confirmed that they have reached an agreement in principle for Dani Alves to join the football first team for the remainder of the current season. 

The Brazilian defender will be joining training from next week but will not be able to play until next year January when he would be officially registered.

According to reports, new Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez had convinced those in charge at Camp Nou to strike a deal to bring the full-back back to the Camp Nou.

Alves '38' has now offered his services to his former club following his departure from Sao Paulo despite the Barcelona board wanting to focus on signing younger players.

The Barça star initially joined the club in the summer of 2008 after five brilliant seasons in Sevilla. Highly regarded as one of the greatest right-back in the clubs history, he made 391 official appearances, scoring 23 goals in his eight seasons stay at the Catalonia club.

He was an automatic choice under all of Barca's former managers Pep Guardiola, Tito Vilanova, Tata Martino and Luis Enrique. He left for Juventus in the summer of 2016, and since then has been at Paris Saint-Germain and lastly, at São Paulo back in his home country.

Alves won a total of 23 titles at FC Barcelona which includes; 6 Ligas, 4 Copas del Rey, 3 Champions League, 3 Club World Cups, 3 Spanish Super Cups, and 4 European Super Cups.

He also won titles at Juventus (2), Paris Saint-Germain (6) and São Paulo (1).

Adding the various honours he also won titles with EC Bahia (3), Sevilla (5) and Brazil (6), making it a total of 46 titles which is the most ever won by a senior footballer.

Alves won six major titles with his national team Brazil, and most recently the Tokyo Olympic Games, where he lined up in the final against what are now his team-mates Òscar Mingueza, Éric Garcia and Pedri.
