Eric Abidal Apologizes To His Wife Hayet Via Instagram: "I deserve this humiliation"
Former Barcelona player Eric Aidal has taken to social media to apologize to his wife Hayet: "I deserve the humiliation"
Abidal on Tuesday used the photo-sharing platform (Instagram), to send a public direct message to his still wife, Hayet Abidal asking for forgiveness.
With the case of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Kheira Hamraoui still under investigation, the Abidal couple, Eric and Hayet have had a difficult time as it has led to the breakdown of their marriage.
This happened following the brutal attack suffered by the PSG and French international player Hamaraoui on November 4.
CloudNine Sports reported that Hamaraoui's teammate Amanita Diallo was initially suspected to have orchestrated the attack and placed in police custody before she was released 48 hours later without charge, having pleaded her innocence in this case and it looks like she is not guilty.
Former Barcelona sporting director Eric Abidal was further linked to the case which saw him receive an invitation from the French police for questioning, as his phone number was found in Hamaraoui's contacts, and her sim card was also registered under his name.
The incidence was then linked to the Frenchman's wife 'Hayet' for being the one who ordered the attack from the maskedmen with one of them shouting at Hamaraoui “So, you sleep with married men”.
Hayet Abida has already filed for a divorce against her husband for reportedly having an affair with the 31-year-old Kheira player during her stay with the Barcelona femenà side between 2018 and 2021.
“Hayet Abidal, forgive me. Whatever your decision, you will remain in my eyes the woman of my life, and especially the mother of our wonderful children. I deserve this humiliation even if it kills me alive. Somdday you will forgive me ”, Eric Abidal posted on his Instagram account.
