Man United Makes First Official Bid For Jadon Sancho

Manchester United have made their first official bid for Borussia Dortmund's star Jadon Sancho.

The Red Devils has agreed personal terms with Sancho on a potential contract until June 2026, and have also submitted an offer of £59million (€70m/$85m) for the winger, which is more than £20million short of Borussia Dortmund's asking price.

CloudNine Sports understands that, Dortmund are willing to part ways with the 21-year-old who still has two-years left in his contract, and the German club having been left in shock with United's bid, would consider selling him to other clubs if Man United won’t match thier £81.5million (€95m/$110m) asking price. 

According to German publication Bild, Dortmund have also handed Manchester United a deadline of July 31 to finish the transfer of Sancho.

The young English man and his agents are not creating any problem as the player is open to move to the Theatre of Dresms since one year, after he was deemed too expensive to sign last summer for £108million transfer fee.

Despite qualifying for the Champions League again, Dortmund have to cash in on Sancho to offset the huge financial losses they have suffered due to the coronavirus crisis.

They are refusing to reduce their £140million asking price for another target man Erling Haaland.

United who are believed to have learnt their lessons, are expected ti show more initiative this summer, as falling short once again to land their top target man would be a very difficult pill to swallow for the fans.

The former Watford and Man City youth footballer, has scored a total of 50 goals in 137 appearances since joining Dortmund first-team in August 2017 for £8million from Man City.

Sancho is currently with the Three Lions squad as they prepare for their Euro 2020 opener against Croatia on 13th June.

He has scored three goals in his 19 games for England.

England boss Gareth Southgate has already made it clear that he doesn’t want any transfers involving players in his squad to take place until after the tournament with the final set for July 11.
