Eden Hazard Is Ready For Chelsea Reunion... Zinedine Zidane Confirms
The Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane confirms Hazard is ready for Chelsea reunion.
Real Madrid had signed Eden Hazard from Chelsea in 2019 for an initial £89m plus add-ons, making him their most expensive signing of all time.
This week he faces his former club of seven years for the first time in the Champions League semifinals.
Eden Hazard is "ready" to take on Chelsea in the Champions League according to Zinedine Zidane. The Real Madrid ace will also be heading back to Stamford Bridge where he was a star.
The Belgian has endured a nightmare time at the Bernabeu with injuries and a lack of form hampering his ambitions.
“He is now feeling very better after being sidelined for sometime and he is ready,” Zidane said. “He wants to be back higher than before, and more than anyone else.
“We have been more cautious with [Dani] Carvajal and Hazard, because they are relapses.
“They are both better and that is good for the team.”
Eden Hazard made 352 appearances, scoring 110 goals, providing 81 assists and winning six trophies in his seven-years stay at Chelsea.
He was brought in from the bench againt Real Betis last weekend.
The Los Blancos side saw off Liverpool in the last eight whilst Chelsea beat Porto.
Zidane has a glittering record in Europe having won the tournament three consecutive times as a manager.
Thomas Tuchel will be looking to end French manager’s record of having never lost in a two-legged European tie.
The German has guided the Blues into the final of the FA Cup having only taken over in January as his impressive performance with the Blues continues.
Last season he took PSG to within 90 minutes of Champions League glory and had hoped for a tie against the Spanish giants.
