Spurs Boss Jose Mourinho Wins The Premier League Manager Of The Month For November.
Tottenham Hotspur boss José Mourinho has won the Premier League Manager of the Month award for November.
The 57-year-old Portuguese, revealed via his Instagram account, that he has been rewarded for his efforts with the in-form Spurs team for November, even though the Premier League is yet to make the official announcement themselves.
Mourinho emerged winner ahead of Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard, West Ham United manager David Moyes who were also shortlisted for the award.
The Motm award includes the five matches played in November, which Mourinho won four (Brighton, West Brom, Man City and Arsenal), draw one (Chelsea), and lost none.
In addition to that, Tottenham Hotspur also secured first place in Europa League Group J with a 2-0 home win over Royal Antwerp on Thursday night with almost 2,000-strong fans in attendance, thanks to second-half goals from Carlos Vinicius and Giovanni Lo Celso.
The result means Spurs finish first in the group with 13 points, and will be seeded in the last 32 thereby avoiding some of the favourites in Monday’s draw.
They also currently sit top of the Premier League with 24 points from 11 matches, same points with last seasons champions Liverpool who are second in the standings.
Their next game is a visit to the Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
