OFFICIAL: Liverpool Completes The Signing Of Diogo Jota From Wolves.

Liverpool have completed the signing Diogo Jota from Wolverhampton Wanderers in a reported fee of £41million, which could eventually rise to £45million with bonuses.

The club made the official annoucement on Saturday after the Portuguese forward signed a five-year contract, which will keep him at Anfield until June 2025.

Jota had joined Championship side Wolves on a-season long loan in July 2017 from Spanish side Atletico Madrid, having spent previous season on-loan to FC Porto.

He later signed a permanent deal with Nuno Espirito Santo's side in 2018 in a fee of £12.8m , having helped the team win the championship and gain promotion to the Premier League for the 2018-19 season.

The move to Anfield will see him end a three-year stay at the Molineux stadium, scoring 44 goals in 131 appearances.

Diogo Jota becomes Jurgen Klopp's third signing of the summer, just a-day after the signing of Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich for £20m, and the early arrival of Greece left-back Kostas Tsimikas for about £11.7m in August.

The German manager, looks to strengthen his forward line with Jota for the 2020/21 season, in addition with the Liverpool's front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

"He is a player who has so much potential, and also gives us so many options to use him," said Reds boss Jurgen Klopp. 

"He has the speed, he can combine, can defend, can press. It makes it just more unpredictable and gives us real options for different systems."

This wasn't the only transactions between both clubs this summer, as Liverpool had sent Dutch defender Ki-Jana Hoever to Wolves in a deal worth an initial £10m, with a possible £4.5m in add-ons, despite just signing a long-term contract at Anfield last summer.

The 18-year-old former Ajax player, became Nuno Espirito Santo's fourth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Fabio Silva, Fernando Marcal and Vitor Ferreira.

Diogo Jota expressed his delight of joining the last season Premier League champions;

"It's just a really exciting moment for me and my family," the 23-year-old told the club's website.

"All of my path since I was a kid and now, to join a club like Liverpool -- the world champions -- is just unbelievable. I just want to get started.

"Liverpool is one of the biggest teams in the Premier League, so it's impossible to say no.

"We just want to come here, to give our best and hopefully I can become a good option for Liverpool in the future."

"I think I am a team player. I play up front and my job is to find a way to score goals and to provide assists and that's what they can expect from me, I will always try to help the team in the best way possible."
