OFFICIAL: Chelsea Confirms The Signing Of Thiago Silva From PSG On A Free Transfer.
Chelsea has confirmed the signing of one of the big names in world football Thiago Silva on a free transfer.
The 35-year-old former Paris Saint-Germain defender, left Paris at the end of his contract with the French club this summer, after he had helped the team reach their first-ever Champions League final last Sunday where they lost 1-0 to German giants Bayern Munich in Lisbon.
He has completed a move to London to join Frank Lampard team on a one-year contract, with the club having the option of a further 12 months, as the club continues the long tradition of signing top Brazilian players to grace the pitch at Stamford Bridge.
Thaiago Silva's signing would be Frank Lampard fifth signing of the summer, which follows the addition of former Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell on Wednesday to the squad, as he continues to rebuild and strengthen the side ahead of the upcoming 2020/21 season.
