Man United Youngster Mason Greenwood Wins The Club's Player Of The Month Of July.

Manchester Unitef In-form Academy star Mason Greenwood has been named the club's Player of the Month for July 2020.

The teenager, becomes the youngest winner of the club's Player-of-the-Month award since Marcus Rashford, in February 2016.

He has netted 17 goals so far in an accomplished breakthrough season, edging out fellow teammates Anthony Martial and Bruno Fernandes in a fan voting poll that decided who should win the prize.

 

Following an excellent run of performances in July, the 18-year-old England international, got 46 per cent of the vote on the club's Official App.

Greenwood scored four goals and won three Man-of-the-Match awards against Bournemouth, Aston Villa and West Ham United.

 

Martial finished in second place with 28 per cent after a dynamic performance in July full of assists and goals, while Bruno Fernandes who won the last three editions of Player of the Month camd in third with 26 per cent of the votes.

 

A statement from the clubs website reads;  "Greenwood improvement throughout 2019/20 has been a major source of delight for United fans around the world, as his form has soared since the Premier League resumed in June after the pause enforced by the coronavirus pandemic."

 

He played a very crucial role in Ole Gunnar Solskjear's squad, to ensure that the Red Devils return to play Champions League next season, having finished third in the league with 66 points.
