Man City Star "Raheem Sterling" Has Tested Negative To Coronavirus, Shortly After Olympic Legend "Usain Bolt" Had Tested Positive.

Manchester City star Raheem Sterling has tested negative for coronavirus, after he attended Usain Bolt’s birthday party in his homeland Jamaica last Friday.

The news came after footage had emerged showing the England international partying with celebrity guests at Usain Bolts 34th birthday party and ignoring the COVID-19 safety rules.

Sources claimed that Jamaica has recorded a total of 1,413 cases of coronavirus and 16 leading to death from the disease, with infections increasing in recent days. 

Sterling who was feared to have contacted the virus, decided to undergo a test swiftly after it was reported on Monday by the Jamaican health minister, that the eight time Olympic Champion Usain Bolt had tested positive for the illness.

Bolt has also revealed via a post on his social media page that he would be self-isolating as a precaution, but he is not experiencing any symptoms so far. 

"Like everybody, I've checked social media, social media's saying I'm confirmed to have coronavirus. I did a test on Saturday because I have work abroad." said the Sprinter.

I'm trying to be responsible so I'm going to stay in for me and my friends. Also, I have no symptoms. 

“I have no symptoms, so I’m going to responsibly quarantine myself just incase, and wait to see what is the protocol and what next i should do, Be safe out there." 

According to Sky Sports, Raheem Sterling 'feels fine' and is 'showing no symptoms', but he will have to be tested again upon his return to the UK in the coming days before he joins the England squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures against Iceland on September 5 and Denmark on September 8.

Sterling alongside Harry Maguire, Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood, Phil Foden, and all England players who have been called up for duty by Gareth Southgate, will also have to test negative for coronavirus before they are allowed into teams camp on Monday.

CloudNine Sports understands that Sterling has been on break since his season finished with a disappointing 3-1 defeat against Lyon in the quarter-final of the Champions League on August 15, as Pep Guardiola's side crashed out of the competition in Lisbon.

Manchester City is set to begin their 2020/21 Premier League campaign against Wolves at the Molineux stadium on September 19, a week after the resumption of the new season in order to them a fair period of rest and recovery time compared to their rivals.
